Always
He was gone.
Like all stars
He left this world
At the break of dawn,
Though unlike other stars
He did not get to witness another
Night.
No longer
Would his light shine upon us,
Instead a dark abyss
Filled his place in our sky,
A storm raged through our world,
It battered and bruised us
Till we could no longer stand.
When it ceased
When the rain stopped
And the quakes calmed
We found ourselves still
Here,
Found ourselves still able to live
Though he could not.
He was gone.
That we came to terms with
However, we were not,
We could move on,
We had to move on,
Living in the past
Would drive us insane.
No longer
Could he grace our world
With his presence,
He left us all
On the edge of our seats
Waiting for more
But never receiving.
Much too soon
He left
Many feeling empty,
But we all knew
For he said so
He would be with us
Always.
